The company Dr. Willmar Schwabe is a world leader in the research, development and manufacture of herbal medicinal products and phytopharmaceuticals.

The original form of the Group’s parent company, which is now Dr. Willmar Schwabe GmbH & Co. KG, is one of the oldest pharmaceutical manufacturers in Europe and has a company history dating back over 150 years.

The Schwabe Group comprises several different affiliated companies in the pharmaceutical and health industry. All of the companies within the Group focus on plants as the basis for developing pharmaceuticals and health products.

Sanat Products, a Division of Dr. Willmar Schwabe India Pvt. Ltd., is an emerging innovation and research driven company with a “Concept to Commercialization” approach.

We are in the business of Natural Products offering standardized phyto extracts and high pure phytochemicals. We sell more than 50 Standardized Herbal Extracts, which meet the growing needs of the Pharmaceutical, Cosmeceutical, Health & Wellness, Ayurvedic and Food industries. The group is poised to a significant growth in its offering of quality products across the globe.

Spirulina manufacturing facility Established in Dindigul Tamilnadu in South India.

Sanat Product Limited acquired Hindustan Herbal Limited in Rohtak Haryana.

Schwabe Group Today:

Today, the Schwabe Group is active on all five continents. One focus is on Europe, and for quite some time South and Central America as well as southeast Asia have been important markets as well.

Over time, the role of global business activity has expanded, and today it has a major impact on the Group’s stability and growth. In recent times, international business accounted for some 75% of the total sales of the Schwabe Group.

Approximately 4,000 people work at the Schwabe Group, and sales total around €900 million. The largest percentage of the Schwabe Group workforce is in Germany, where some 1,600 people are employed.

The Group headquarter is in Karlsruhe, Germany.

The Schwabe Group is under the direction of Olaf Schwabe, who represents the fifth generation of the family and is the great-great grandson of the founder, Dr. Willmar Schwabe.
